New Year, New Look
Happy
New Year! We hope your 2009 is as promising and fulfilling
as the features and upgrades we have in store for you this
year! With 350pages growing by the day, we've revised the
home control panel with a whole new look to accommodate
the fantastic features on offer.
You can now access all
of your creative tools and additional services from one
central point - and if you need extra help, simply view
the video tutorials at the bottom. Everything's right
where you want it with 350pages. We'll be adding more features to 350pages throughout the
year, so keep your eyes open for additions to the home
control panel and the page editor – we’ll notify
you in our blog for news as it breaks!
Page
Plugins
Now
you can develop your website even further with our newly
released page plugins, available only to users of
the full 350pages. Page Plugins are often referred to as
gadgets or widgets that add extra functions onto your webpage.
They have been
developed by third parties and can easily be inserted into
your webpage from within the 350pages editor. There is
a wide range from a simple world clock, weather, news or
currency converter to a more advanced poll or guestbook.
We've researched for the best to save you time hunting
around the web.
Google Gadgets, Google Maps, Picasa, Flickr, YouTube videos
and Weatherpixie are all available to add to your pages
from the insert menu, and we'll be introducing more over
the coming months. If you have a special request then let
us know and we will try to incorporate your wishlist! To
see the Page Plugins in action see this
example website.
Page Preview
You can now preview your webpage before you publish it – especially
ideal if you have some Page Plugins as you will see exactly
what it will look like.
When you want to take a peek at how
your page will appear on the web, bring up the save dialog
and you will see a new Preview button. Give it a click
and your page will open up in a new window.
QuickSwitch
Website creation is quick and simple with 350pages. When
editing a webpage you can switch instantly to edit another
page. In the save dialog box, simply choose to switch to
another page and your current page will automatically be
saved and published.
Have fun, The 350 Team
