Page Properties Editor
The Page Properties Editor allows you to change the core colors of your page and also administer the descriptive information about the page. The page information is required by the search engines and it can help you in categorizing your website.
There are five options relating to the page information:
- Page Title
- This is the title of your page, and will be displayed in the title bar of the web browser when your site is visited on the web.
- Keywords
- These are keywords that are used in search engine submission. For example, if your website is about history books, adding keywords of books and history to this line would associate your site with searches for the words books, history and history books on search engines. You can enter as many keywords as you wish, separated with a comma and a space.
- Description
- This is a short description of your site. This should not exceed 250 characters.
- File Tags
- These tags will display in your 350pages File Manager. Further information on the use of search engines can be found in the 350pages Information Library.
Depending on the type of page, there may also be additional options that affect the theme colors. These options will make changes to your entire page - for example, if you wish to make a change to the font color throughout your page, the best way to make this change is in the Page Properties. The theme colors that you will be able to change may include one or more of the following:
- Theme Color
- Highlight Color
- Text Color
- Button Color
- Page Background
For more information regarding the color picker, see
colors.
- Page Width
- This is a drop down menu of three settings to set the automated width of your page. The Fixed Narrow and Fixed Standard settings will set the template size at a fixed pixel width (800px wide and 1024px wide respectively). The variable width will expand the page design based on the size of your browser window.
The page width options are best used in conjunction with floating objects. Repositioning objects works best on a fixed width layout, as they will not change position on templates where the width can be altered.
Copy Tab
You can copy the theme colors from another page to give you a consistent look throughout your website. Select the source page from which you want to copy the themes from the drop down menu. This will then display all of the theme colors and elements from that page and compare them to the settings on your current webpage. If the page source element matches the page destination element then the color of that element will automatically assign itself. If there is no source element with the same name then you can select which element color you want the theme to copy from the drop down menu of elements on the source page.
