Gallery Editor
The Gallery Editor allows you to create a photo gallery through a very easy and simple editor window. Once you have added a Gallery, you will be presented with the Gallery editor. The Images tab of this editor shows you a list of all photos you have added, the order they will be presented and a number of other options. The Settings tab of this editor provides further, more detailed customization features for improving the look and style of your gallery.
The first thing you must do is to add some images. These must have been previously uploaded into your File Manager. Click on the Add button to be taken into the Selection Box. Click on the images of your choice and then click the Use button.
With photos added, the Images tab of the editor has the following options for each image in the list:
- Caption
- This will set the caption to be displayed with the image. If you have entered a caption upon upload of the image then it will be automatically displayed here.

- This will move the selected image up one position.

- This will move the selected image down one position.

- This will delete the currently selected image.
Additionally, you can also sort your images by Filename or Caption using the appropriate buttons.
The Settings tab of the editor has the following options which will affect your gallery as a group:
- Columns
- The drop down menu offers you a choice of how many columns you want in your gallery between 1 and 5.
- Thumbnail Size
- A thumbnail is a small image on your webpage that opens up a much larger image when your visitor clicks on it. When your visitors see the larger image they can select a forward or back button to browse through all the images on your webpage as a slideshow. The drop down menu sets the size of the thumbnail: Small is 100 pixels, Medium is 150 pixels and Large is 200 pixels (the height of each image will scale accordingly with the width).
- Image Type
- This is a choice between Standard Images and Captioned Images. Captioned Images will add a caption under your image.
If you choose Captioned Images from the Image Type menu, then you can use the options at the bottom to set further specific options for the gallery:
- Canvas Color
- Adds a canvas around each of the images and captions to give the effect of mounted images.
- Text Color
- This controls the color of the caption text.
- Frame Color and Margin
- This adds a single line frame around the entire canvas.
If you are happy with your gallery settings, click on the Save button to accept the changes, otherwise you can click the cancel button to abort the process and be taken back to the page editor.
NOTE: You can edit the images in your gallery separately to the gallery by clicking inside the image's canvas. This will bring up the Captioned Image Editor, and allow you to make specific changes to the selected image. If you make and save changes here, this will change the presentation of this image as it will no longer be part of the gallery. To resolve this, simply edit the gallery and make a change to the image's caption to reset the image to its gallery default.
