Forms
Forms enable your users to send you e-mails from your website on a variety of different topics. You can specify the number and type of form fields for your users to fill in, and when they click the send button, you will receive an e-mail with this information to the e-mail address that you have specified.
When you have chosen to add a form, the form editor dialog will show a basic form layout for you to edit and customize.
You have the following options:
- Type
- The type of the entry field - this can be a line, checkbox, menu or text. More information on each of these options is detailed below.
- Label
- The label which will precede the entry field. This is used to identify what is required in the entry field (for example, if you wanted people to insert their name, you would use the Label ‘Name’).
- Example Entry Box
- This will display example text to your website visitor. This can be left blank if you don't want to display example text.
- Properties
- Various options will be displayed to further customise the form field. For a Line field you to change the width of the line box from small, medium or large. For the Menu you can list the options that you wish to be chosen by your visitor. For the Text you can specify the width and the number of lines in height.
The last column has a few buttons that allow you to adjust the positioning of each field in your form:

- This will push the selected form field up one position.

- This will push the selected form field down one position.

- This will delete the currently selected form field.
At the end of the form is a Button field. This is the button that users will press to submit their form. You can adjust the text on the button but it cannot be moved or deleted.
To add a new field to your form, select the type of field from the "Add a new field of type" drop down menu and click on the Add button. This will insert the new field at the bottom of the form editor, but above the submission button.
The types of form field are as follows:
- Line
- This inserts a single line field - it is best used for a name, subject or e-mail address.
- Checkbox
- This inserts a checkbox that can be in a checked or unchecked state - for example, yes or no questions.
- Menu
- This inserts a menu where a single option can be selected from a list – for example, to specify a type of product that the visitor is interested in.
- Text
- This inserts a multi-line block of text - usually used for an address or longer additional comments.
Finally, you can specify where the website should take the visitor once they have filled in the form - many people normally (delete) create a page specifically for this, but you can redirect 350pages to go anywhere. Choose the Link Type from the drop down menu between a page in your 350pages File Manager or another link on the Internet, and in the Link To box, either select the page in your 350pages File Manager from a drop down menu, or type the website link into this box. When you are happy with your form, click on the Save button to confirm the edits and place it on your page. If you are not happy with the form, either re-edit it or click the Cancel button.
