PDF Creator

350 Pages Help logo
The PDF creator enables you to make PDFs out of your saved webpages. There are a variety of applications you could use this feature for, including making printable flyers or magazines with 350.

When generating a PDF in 350pages, you have a number of options you can set to customize the PDF to your liking. To start the creation process, in the File Manager, click on the tickbox of the page you want to generate a PDF from and then click on the green PDF button which will have now highlighted with the selection of the page.

In the PDF Generator screen, you will see a number of options:

Page Size
This sets the dimensions of the web page in the PDF to allow for easy printing and presentation. You can select from a number of standard sizes, but you will not be able to resize these after you have selected. If you want to create your page at different sizes, you will need to generate multiple PDFs.

Orientation
This will set the PDF in either Portrait or Landscape mode.

Margin Bottom/Margin Left/Margin Right/Margin Top
These options set, in millimetres, the distance between the edge of the page and the content. For example, if you wanted your content to fit your entire PDF, you would set these options to 0. However, if you want to print your content please be aware that most printers have a margin to which they can print to, so you may wish to check your printer's manual before setting these options.

Image Compression
This sets how compressed your images will be, which will affect file size and printed quality. Higher is better for quality, but will result in a bigger file.

Greyscale
This option will make the PDF black and white.

No background
This option will remove any background images and fade colours on the webpage from the PDF itself. This is a good option to use if you are intending to print your PDFs.

Once you are happy with your settings, click on the Generate PDF button. Your PDF will be displayed as a preview in your browser's window. Click on the Save icon (picture of a floppy disc) in order to save the PDF locally to your computer.
