Service Configuration

Click to zoomTo configure a service, go to the My Services tab in My Account and click the Configure button for the service. This will open a configuration box relevant to the service. There are several options in the domain service that can be configured, as detailed below.

Domain Name

Website uses folder
By default, your domain will point at the page named home.htm in the top level of your account. If you have multiple domains, and want to point them at different folders in your account, you can do so with this option. Please note that you will need a home.htm page in the folder for the website to display at the domain name. Each of your domain names will have this option available from within their Configure menus.
E-Mail Redirects
You can assign redirects for up to 10 email addresses that will forward email on to another address that you specify. In the left hand box, insert the first part of the email address of the domain (for example, if your domain was joebloggs.com and you wanted the address admin@joebloggs.com, you would enter admin into the left box), and in the right hand box, insert the full email address you wish this to be redirected to. You can use the box at the bottom to set up other email redirects.

For 3rd party domain names, these must be configured with the correct settings at your domain host. The best way to do this is with what is known as a "CNAME" record. If you wish to do so you must ask your domain service provider to set up a CNAME record in the DNS like this: www IN CNAME vserver.350.com.

Once this record is in the DNS you will be able to configure your website for use with your domain.

For use with your email there must be a DNS record that sends email to our servers. This is done with what is known as an "MX" record. If you wish to do so you must ask your domain service provider to set up an MX record in the DNS like this:

@ IN MX 0 mail.350.com.

Once this record is in the DNS you will be able to configure and use email forwarders.
