Auto-Format Templates |

When you use one of these templates the webpage will automatically update and adjust other content on the page, for example, when you change the amount of text or insert extra images. Another great feature is that you can select to have a variable width template which will automatically adjust to the viewer's browser screen and text size to display the best layout for each viewer.
This is perfect until you want to have more detailed control to adjust one of the layout for your own design. You can either add new floating objects or change the properties of existing objects to make them floating.
If you wish to use floating objects on an auto-format template then you should use fixed-width templates, (select this from the page properties on the top bar). The reason for this is because the auto-format templates will automatically adjust to the viewer's browser but the floating image will stay where you put it, so you may see some unexpected results if you are using a variable template.
You can have floating objects on your webpage in two ways:
Click on the Insert button located on the top bar of the page editor. From this insert menu, select the object you wish to insert. The object will appear at the top of the page ready for you to drag it into position.
You can change the properties of an existing object so that it will be floating. Hover over the item until the object editor bar appears and then click on the Properties button (the second button on the editing bar). From the Properties screen, click on the Floating checkbox, and then on the Save button. At this point, the selected object now becomes a Floating Object and you can drag and drop it anywhere on the page.
Free-Format Templates
350pages also has free-format templates where the objects have all been set into a floating state. This allows you to drag and drop the objects anywhere on the webpage to create your own layout.
Drag and Drop
To move an object, hold down your mouse pointer on the object and move your mouse to where you want to place the object. As you move the item, you will see a grid appear to help you position your object. 350pages will try to snap your object to a line up with the closest object. Hold down the Ctrl key on your keyboard, to move the object freely without the object snapping to the grid.
