In My Settings you can change the settings of your third party services. Unless otherwise stated, all third party services are not associated with 350pages in any way and when you sign up to use any of these services you enter into a separate contract governing your relationship with them.
You can hide any of the options by clicking on the Hide button. You can have them display again by clicking the Show button.
Google Analytics: This will analyse the traffic coming to your webpages. It helps you find out what keywords attract your most desirable prospects, what advertising copy pulled the most responses, and what landing pages and content make the most money for you. When you sign up to Google Analytics you will be given a snippet of code. To add Google Analytics tracking to your pages, simply paste that code into the box on the right, and click the Save Changes button. For this code to be effective on your webpages you will need to republish those pages.
PayPal: If you have a PayPal account you can enter the details here. They will be used as the default details whenever you add a PayPal button to one of your pages. The following is a list of the options and their functions.
- No shipping
- Check this option if you do not wish PayPal to request a shipping address from your customers, e.g. if you will use electronic fulfillment to supply this product.
- Note label
- If you would like your customers to be able to enter a special note on their order, e.g. delivery instructions, enter a label for the note field that will appear on the PayPal order page.
- Black background
- Check this box if you would like the PayPal order page to be presented as white text on a black background rather than black text on a white background.
- Quantity field
- Check this box if you would like PayPal to ask your customers how many of this item they would like to order.
- Success page
- Select a page that your customers will see when they place a successful order. If you don't select one, they will be redirected to a standard PayPal page that confirms their order.
- Failure page
- Select a page that your customers will see when they fail to place a successful order because something goes wrong or because they cancelled it part way through. If you don't select one, they will be redirected to a standard PayPal page that confirms their order.
- Business
- This is the email address to which PayPal payments will be sent. This must be an email address associated with your PayPal account or you won't receive payments made using this button.
If you are happy with the PayPal button you have created, click on the save changes button to apply the changes. Changing the details here will not change any buttons that already exist, and you are also able to edit these details on a button that you are creating.
Twitter: If you have a Twitter account, 350pages can tweet about your web pages when you publish them. You need to authorize 350pages to access your Twitter account before you can use this feature by clicking on the Authorize button. This will take you to the Twitter website where you will need to enter your Twitter username and password.
If you want to disassociate your 350pages account with your Twitter account, then click on the de-authorize button in order to remove the link between your 350pages account and Twitter.
Facebook: If you have a Facebook account, 350pages can post about your web pages on your wall when you publish them. You need to authorize 350pages to access your Facebook account before you can use thie feature by clicking on the Authorize button. This will take you to the Facebook website where you will need to log-in and Allow 350pages to access your Facebook account.
When authorizing access to Facebook, 350pages requests a permission which Facebook describes as "Access my data when I'm not using the application". This permission allows 350pages to post status updates to your wall when you request it without the need to re-authorize again in the future. 350pages will never access your Facebook account without asking you or when you are not using it. If the authorization process fails for any reason it may not be possible to return to your 350pages account using the back button in your browser. In this case you should simply go to www.350.com and return to your home control page using the link at the top of the page.
When you post a link to your Facebook wall, Facebook will automatically fetch a description of your page to display beside the link. To ensure you get the best description shown you should set your Page Description before publishing your page. For more information on this, please see the help here.
