When you hover your mouse pointer over an object, to the right of the editing tools, you will see a number of icons. In the floating objects editor they are the layering options and in the auto-format editor they are the alignment options.

You can position any object on your webpage to suit the presentation of your website. These buttons vary depending on the position and environment of the object in question. These are the alignment options:

Default Alignment: This will reset the alignment of the object to its original state.
Justified Alignment: This will align the text along both the left and right margin. Spaces between words and/or images are stretched or sometimes compressed in order to make the text align with both margins.
Left Alignment: This will align the object to the left margin.
Center Alignment: This will align the object to the center of the column/page.
Right Alignment: This will align the object to the right margin.
Left Text Wrap Alignment: This will wrap the text below around the image and align the image to the left margin.
Left Image Alignment: This will align the image to the left margin.
Center Image Alignment: This will align the object to the center of the column/page.
Right Image Alignment: This will align the image to the right margin.
Right Text Wrap Alignment: This will wrap the text below around the image and align the image to the right margin.

You can also change the alignment of an object in the Object Properties Editor.

If your object is floating, you can choose whether it is on top of or underneath other floating objects with the layering tools. These are the layering options:

Move Forward One: This will bring the object one layer towards the front. For example, if you have three objects overlaying each other and you click this button on the one at the back, it will bring it forward once, putting it second in the order of the objects.
Move Back One: This will push the object one layer towards the back. For example, if you have three objects overlaying each other and you click this button on the one in the front, it will push it back once, putting it second in the order of the objects.
Bring to Front: This will bring the object to the front, over all existing floating objects.
Push to Back: This will push the object to the back, underneath all floating objects.

Remember that the layering system only relates to floating objects, and that all floating objects will always be in front of fixed objects as used in the auto-format templates.
