Page Editor

The Page Editor is where you will build and edit the webpages that will make up your website. Virtually everything on the page is customizable and editable to ensure that you can make your webpages unique. You can drag and drop the objects anywhere on the webpage to create your own layout. Users of the full version 350pages have more object types and functions including the auto-format webpage layouts. These use variable width templates which allow the content to automatically adjust to the full width of a screen, regardless of the width of the visitor's browser. See more detail

The Page Control Bar at the top of the screen allows you to access all of the important options that control your page editing operations. From left to right, you will find the following editing options:
Insert Floating Object: This opens up the Insert New menu so that you can add a new floating object to your page
Page Properties: This allows you to make changes to the properties of the page, such as the colors, and to set the page title, keyword and description as referenced by the search engines.
Undo/Redo: These will undo/redo your previous action respectively.
Preview: This will enable you to see a copy of the webpage as it will appear on the web. It appears in a separate window which you can then close to return to the page editor.
Finish: You can save or abandon the work you have done in the editing session. You will have the option to set the page properties before you exit. If you abandon the page then the edits will not be saved.
There is a QuickSwitch feature. You can select a page from this list, and 350pages will save the current page you are working on before loading the chosen page into the editor. The name of your current page is shown on the right end of the page control bar.
To edit an object, hover your mouse pointer over the object and the Object Editor Bar will pop up. You can position the Object Editor Bar by holding Ctrl on your keyboard and clicking to move it to your mouse pointer. The first five options are the same in every editor with the exception of the Page Properties editor:
Edit: This will open the object in the relevant editor so that you can make detailed changes to it.
Properties: This will bring up a menu of the object's properties.
Delete: This will remove the object from the page.
New: This will insert a new object above or below or to replace the currently selected item.
Help: This will display a help page about the object.
To the right of these options will be either a series of alignment options for fixed objects, and a layer control for floating objects. For more information on both of these, please click here.
Every object on the page has its own editor. When these editors are in view they can be moved to a more convenient place on the page simply by click/dragging the title bar of the editor, i.e. clicking on it, holding the mouse button down whilst dragging the object.
